About this car
1953 Packard Cavalier at Unique Classic Cars in Bassett Dr Mankato, MN, $23,900. Black over Interior Color Black, 56,886 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- Black '53 Packard convertible photographed all round at Unique Classic Cars — every one of the 16 viewed frames is the listed car, top down and top up.
- Paint reads deep and glossy and the heavy chrome grille, bumpers and side spears present bright in the showroom frames; whitewall tyres on steel wheels with full covers.
- White convertible top is shown raised and from above — it looks aged and lightly discoloured rather than fresh, so budget on it being a serviceable older top.
- Interior is shown in depth: black and white two-tone bench seats, matching door cards and a clean dash all present fresh.
- Engine bay can't be judged — the hood is never opened in the 16 photos viewed.
- Underside can't be judged — no photo looks under the car, and the trunk is never opened.
Money: at $23,900 the body, chrome and cabin photograph like a finished car, but the straight-eight bay and the underside are unseen — verify both before paying finished-car money for a Packard.
