About this car
1955 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe Deville at GR Auto Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI, $39,900. Black over Green, 85,768 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- Black paint has a deep showroom gloss with a white painted roof; the chrome is massive and bright and it sits on wide whitewalls.
- The seller's own tape-and-ruler close-ups document small paint chips at a string of panel edges and seams — around the fender and door seams, hood and decklid; each chip is small, but there are many of them and black shows every one.
- Interior is only glimpsed through the glass (green) — it can't be judged from this sample.
- Engine bay is never photographed in the 16 viewed.
- Underside is never photographed.
Money: at $39,995 price it as a glossy driver with documented paint wear, not a show car — and the cabin, engine bay and underside are all still unverified.
