About this car
1957 Cadillac Fleetwood at Unique Classic Cars in Bassett Dr Mankato, MN, $14,900. Patina over Interior Color Green, 79,536 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- Body and paint: this is an honest project-grade survivor — the pale aqua paint is thin and flat, with rust breaking through across the trunk lid, along the roof edge and at the lower doors, and the door jambs are photographed heavily rusted.
- Chrome: the huge bumpers and stainless side trim present surprisingly straight and shiny against the tired paint, on whitewall tyres.
- Interior: the turquoise leather benches are cracked, split and worn through in places, though complete; the dash presents intact and the speedometer photo reads 79,536.
- Engine bay: not photographed in the 16 viewed, so the 365's condition can't be judged from this set.
- Underside: not photographed in the 16 viewed either — with this much visible rust up top, floors and frame are the first thing to check in person.
Money: at $14,900 you are buying a complete, straight '57 Fleetwood as a restoration base — the price only works if the frame and floors are better than the jambs, because the chrome and completeness are what carry the value here.
