About this car
1957 Ford Thunderbird at Unique Classic Cars in Bassett Dr Mankato, MN, $39,900. WHITE over None, 56,816 miles, None
What the photos show
- This Unique Classic Cars gallery is polluted: 5 of the 17 frames are other Thunderbirds (a coral 1965 car, a black 1957 and a black 1962, the black cars twice each), and several frames carry 'MORE PHOTOS COMING SOON!' banners; the white car's own frames cover exterior, interior, engine bay and one underside glimpse.
- In its own photos the white paint is glossy, the porthole hardtop is fitted, chrome is bright and it sits on whitewalls.
- Red interior looks tidy and original-style.
- Engine bay is photographed twice: a red Y-block with 'Thunderbird Special' valve covers and a single four-barrel — D-code presentation, tidy.
- The one underside photo is a dark low shot that shows almost nothing, and the soft top is never shown.
Money: at $39,900 judge only the white car's frames — decode the data plate for D- vs E-code and get the underside on a lift before paying.
