1960 Nash Metropolitan

• Pink '60 Metropolitan convertible (Volo) — glossy pink paint, bright chrome, continental spare and whitewalls; the pink-and-white interior is photographed in depth and looks freshly restored throughout.
• The Smiths speedometer reads 3,531 in the seller's duplicated gauge photos — on a restored car that figure is the cluster's story, not proof of the car's mileage.
• Much of the sample is dash and switchgear macros (the same gauge shot appears twice) — the engine bay is never photographed in the 16 viewed, so the little Austin four-cylinder can't be judged.
• The soft top is down in every frame and never shown raised, so its condition can't be judged.
• The underside is never photographed — on a unibody Metropolitan, the sills and floors are the rust story and neither is shown.

Money: at $54,998 the cosmetics are show-quality, but a Metropolitan's value lives in its sills and floors — get underside and raised-top photos before paying top-of-market money.
