About this car
1963 Ford Thunderbird at GR Auto Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI, $13,900. Sandshell Beige over White, 77,758 miles, 3-Speed Automatic
What the photos show
- Body and paint: the cream finish presents as honest older paint — straight and presentable in the wide shots, but the seller's ruler close-ups document small chips, surface cracking and a blistered rust spot breaking through on one fender.
- Chrome and trim: the big bumpers, grille and lamp surrounds photograph bright and straight, on steel wheels with full covers and whitewalls.
- Interior: visible only through the glass in this set — pale seats that look intact — but never photographed with a door open, so its condition can't be judged properly.
- Engine bay: not photographed in the 16 viewed, so the 390's condition can't be judged from this set.
- Underside: not photographed in the 16 viewed either — on a unit-body Bullet Bird, the floors and torque boxes are exactly what needs checking.
Money: at $13,900 this is driver money for a Bullet Bird, and the photos support a driver — the blister on the fender says check the structure carefully before the price firms up.
