About this car
1965 Pontiac GTO at Hanksters in Hwy S Homer City, PA, $57,900. Light Blue over Black, GM TH400 Automatic
What the photos show
- Light blue '65 GTO — all 16 photos in the sample are exterior walk-around shots in the seller's showroom (the lead frame carries a 'Hanksters Certified Vehicle' badge graphic).
- The paint is glossy and even, panels look straight, chrome and trim are bright, and it sits on Rally-style wheels with Cooper Cobras.
- The interior is never photographed beyond a glimpse through the glass, so the cabin can't be judged at all.
- The engine bay is never photographed — there is no picture of the engine the GTO price is based on.
- The underside is never photographed, so the frame and floors can't be judged.
- No VIN or data plate is photographed either — and since a '65 GTO is a LeMans option, the badges in these photos prove nothing; PHS paperwork decides.
Money: at $57,900 you are paying GTO money for exterior photos alone — PHS documentation, an engine-bay photo and a lift check all have to come before the money does.
