About this car
1966 Pontiac GTO at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $106,998. Black over Red, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Black paint is mirror-glossy with straight panels and bright chrome; redline tyres on steel wheels with poverty caps — the period look done right.
- Interior is red and looks superb: seats, door panels and carpets all fresh, wood-rim wheel, woodgrain dash, floor-shift manual with no console.
- The door-jamb VIN tag is photographed in the gallery — verify it against the title and PHS paperwork in person (the number itself isn't quoted here).
- Engine bay: can't judge — no engine photo in the 16 viewed.
- Underside: can't judge — no underbody photo in the 16 viewed.
Money: at $106,998 for a '66 GTO, the value is the numbers — engine, paperwork, PHS docs — and none of that is in this sample; the cosmetics say come and look, the missing bay says don't commit yet.
