About this car
1967 Chevrolet Camaro at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $85,998. Orange over Red, Turbo 350 Auto
What the photos show
- Red '67 Camaro SS convertible in Volo studio shots: the paint is glossy and even, the white nose stripe is crisp, and the body looks straight from both ends.
- Polished five-spoke wheels with low-profile tyres; nothing to fault in the wide shots.
- The red-on-red cabin is photographed in depth and looks fresh — seats, door cards and carpets all clean — though four of the final frames are the same console shifter photographed over and over.
- The glovebox holds a GM 1967 convertible-top manual, a nice period touch; the top itself is down in every photo and is never shown raised, so its condition and fit can't be judged.
- One frame is a Volo financing advert, not the car.
- Engine bay and underside are never photographed in the 16 viewed, and there is no trunk shot.
Money: at $85,998 the cosmetics photograph to a high standard, but the top, engine and underside are all unproven — three checks that decide a first-gen convertible's real value.
