About this car
1967 Pontiac Firebird at GR Auto Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI, $42,900. Starlight Black over Black, 70,136 miles, 3-Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Black paint has a deep showroom gloss with mirror reflections; the seller marks spots on the decklid and a door edge with yellow tape and a ruler, and at that scale the marked flaws look small — black hides a lot, so check them in person.
- Chrome bumpers and headlight surrounds are bright; it sits on chrome aftermarket wheels.
- Interior gets only two frames, both door cards (black, tidy) — the seats, dash and headliner can't be judged from this sample.
- Engine bay is never photographed in the 16 viewed; the photographed 'OVERHEAD CAM' hood badge says this is the OHC six car, but whether it is the 4-barrel Sprint version can't be judged without a bay photo.
- Underside is never photographed.
Money: at $42,900 the black paint photographs beautifully, but the value in an overhead-cam Firebird is the Sprint spec and its engine — neither is shown, so see the bay and run the PHS before paying.
