About this car
1968 Chevrolet Chevelle at Art & Speed in Collierville, TN, $41,900. Butternut Yellow Body Style Hardtop over None, 4 Speed Automatic
What the photos show
- Butternut yellow paint is glossy and the black vinyl top looks fresh and tight in close-up; chrome is bright and it sits on chrome five-spoke wheels with a '327' fender badge.
- A door-jamb close-up shows chipped paint and small rust spots around the latch and striker — the kind of wear the wide shots hide.
- Black interior looks fresh, with an aftermarket gauge cluster in the dash; the trunk is carpeted with a covered spare.
- Engine bay is photographed twice: a polished small-block with air conditioning, tidy and detailed.
- Underside gets only one low rear shot — the fuel tank and exhaust show surface rust and age, honest and unrestored-looking rather than detailed.
- The photographed VIN plate carries the 13637 prefix — a Malibu sport coupe, not an SS (which would be 13837).
Money: at $41,900 this is strong money for a Malibu driver — the photos honestly show both the polish and the jamb chips and aged underside, so price it as a tidy driver, not a show car.
