1968 Chevrolet Chevelle

• Maroon metallic paint is glossy and straight on this Malibu convertible, chrome bumpers bright, polished wheels clean; the top is shown down under its boot and raised, where the grey fabric looks taut with a clear rear window.
• Black bench interior photographs tidy: seats show no visible splits, the dash pad looks uncracked, and door cards are straight; a wood SS-badged wheel and under-dash gauges are later additions.
• It's a column-shift automatic in the photos — the SS cues are cosmetic dressing on a Malibu, so value it as a Malibu convertible, not an SS.
• Sills, jambs and door bottoms in the close-ups look clean and well painted.
• Engine bay doesn't appear in the 16 viewed — can't judge the engine room or what's actually fitted.
• Underside doesn't appear in the 16 viewed — no lift photo, so floors and frame are unseen; all 16 frames are of this car.

Money: at $49,900 the cosmetics support a strong Malibu convertible ask; with the engine and underside unphotographed, confirm the drivetrain in person before paying SS-flavoured money for SS badges.
