About this car
1968 Pontiac GTO at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $1,000. Black over Parchment, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Black paint is mirror-glossy and the panels photograph straight in the studio set; hideaway headlights, bright chrome and Rally II wheels with redline tyres complete a very correct '68 look.
- Cream interior is restored in stock style — seats and door cards crisp — and the odometer reads 87,407.
- Engine bay is gloss black and holds a Pontiac V8 with a black air cleaner, detailed and stock-presented.
- Documentation is photographed with the car: the dash VIN tag, Pontiac order/billing sheets and a framed concours award plaque — the history story is there to be audited in person (details not reproduced here).
- The underside is never photographed in the 16 viewed, so the frame and floors can't be judged.
- The gallery's final four frames are other GTOs in the dealer's stock (an orange '69 Judge, a red '66 convertible, an orange-and-white '69 convertible and a black '66), appended at the end of the gallery.
Money: the $1,000 in the data is a placeholder, not an ask — this photographs as a documented, show-grade GTO, so get the real price from the seller and audit the photographed paperwork against the car in person.
