About this car
1970 Chevrolet Chevelle at Vanguard Motor Sales in Keel St. Plymouth, MI, $159,900. Black Cherry over - Black Interior - Front Bucket, 58,851 miles, 3 Speed Automatic
What the photos show
- Dark maroon paint with white stripes is deep and glossy, the stripes running true over the cowl hood and decklid, with SS454 fender badges and chrome Cragar-style wheels — a muscular '70 SS presentation.
- Engine bay appears once and it's a built piece: a polished performance big-block with braided lines, an MSD ignition box and a big round air filter — not a stock restoration motor, and all the tidier for it.
- Chrome bumpers and grille are bright; the wheel close-ups show red brake calipers behind the chrome spokes.
- Interior never appears in the 16 viewed — can't judge seats, dash or carpets at all.
- Underside doesn't appear in the 16 viewed — can't judge floors or frame.
- Two of the 16 frames are dealer adverts, not photos of the car.
Money: at $159,900 you're paying for the built motor and the finish, both of which show well — the unseen cabin and underside are the gaps to close before treating it as fully documented.
