About this car
1972 Pontiac Grand Prix at Fast Lane Classic Cars in Little Hills Ind Blvd Saint Charles, MO, $39,995. Green over Interior Color Green Seat Material Vinyl, 2,270 miles, 3 Speed Automatic Transmission
What the photos show
- Light green metallic paint is glossy and the black vinyl top looks tidy; it sits on Rally II wheels with raised-white-letter tyres.
- Green interior is photographed in depth and looks original and well kept — seats, door cards and console all clean; the speedometer reads 02,269 on a five-digit dial.
- Engine bay is photographed: a blue Pontiac V8 wearing a '455' air-cleaner decal, tidy and stock-dressed — the engine stamp is what proves a 455 over a 400.
- Trunk is carpeted with the spare and Pontiac floor mats stored in it; one shot shows the trunk bulkhead's insulation aged and browned.
- Underside is never photographed.
Money: at $39,995 this is top-of-market money for a 1972 Grand Prix — the PHS invoice and the engine stamp carry the price, and the unseen underside still needs a lift check.
