About this car
1973 Chevrolet Camaro at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $1,000. Orange over Black Leather, 5 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Orange '73 Camaro restomod with the RS split-bumper nose: mirror-gloss orange, panels straight, chrome rear bumper bright, sitting on large polished multi-spoke wheels with low-profile tyres.
- Interior is a full custom retrim in black leather — buckets, console with cupholders, a white-knob manual shifter, aftermarket gauges and blue ambient lighting — presenting new at this distance.
- The engine is never photographed in the car: instead the gallery shows the build — a V8 on a stand with its heads and valvetrain exposed, and a crankshaft close-up — so the finished bay can't be judged at all.
- Several frames are pages of itemised parts invoices for the build; they are the seller's paperwork — audit them against the car in person rather than taking the spend as value.
- No VIN or cowl tag is photographed in the 16 viewed.
- Underside is never photographed in the 16 viewed.
Money: the $1,000 in the data is a placeholder, not a price — get the real ask, then price the finished car in front of you, not the invoice pile: bay, underside and a drive come before any restomod money.
