About this car
1978 Lincoln Versailles at GR Auto Gallery in Commerce Township, MI, $8,900. Diamond Blue Metallic over Wedgewood Blue, 38,256 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- Body and paint: the light blue metallic looks even and glossy around the car in the showroom set, with the spare-tyre hump deck and big chrome grille presenting as they should; the seller's ruler close-ups document only light surface scratches.
- Interior: the blue leather and door cards photograph fresh and complete, with the woodgrain dash tidy — the Granada-based cabin in its best suit.
- Engine bay: not photographed in the 16 viewed, so the engine's state can't be judged from this set.
- Underside: not photographed in the 16 viewed either — one frame shows the car on a lift from behind without underside detail.
Money: at $8,900 a Versailles this tidy is cheap luxury — the value is condition alone, so the unseen bay and a working-everything test decide whether it's the bargain it photographs as.
