About this car
1979 Pontiac Firebird at Streetside Classics in Charlotte, NC, $61,995. Starlight Black over None, 46,518 miles, 3 Speed Automatic
What the photos show
- Black '79 Trans Am at Streetside Charlotte — the dealer's own listing of the same car cross-listed on eBay in this batch; glossy paint, gold snowflake wheels, T-tops fitted and removed, and again no gold hood bird in any photo.
- Black interior is photographed in depth here and looks tidy: gold engine-turned dash, automatic console, seats front and rear all clean; the odometer reads 65,192.
- Engine bay is photographed: shaker-fed V8, original-looking but grimy with surface rust on ancillaries — a survivor bay under restored paint.
- Underside is never photographed in the 16 viewed.
- No PHS documentation is photographed in either listing, so the engine and WS6 questions stay open.
Money: at $61,995 — a touch under its own eBay twin — the same car and the same advice: price it as a shiny driver with an untouched engine room until PHS and a lift say more.
