About this car
1981 Chevrolet K-10 at GR Auto Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI, $28,900. Red over Black, 67,175 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- The truck in the photos is GMC-badged, not Chevrolet: the grille close-up shows GMC letters, the tailgate is stamped GMC and the fender badge reads Sierra — yet it is listed as a K10, so the title and VIN need reconciling with the badges.
- Red lifted 4x4 on big off-road tyres; paint is glossy and the body looks straight at this distance, chrome bumpers bright.
- One seller ruler close-up documents tiny paint specks/chips in the red finish — small, but photographed honestly.
- Interior is a black bench-seat cab that looks tidy overall, but the close-ups show wear the wide shots hide: door-handle recesses are scuffed with rust-coloured freckling and the door pull strap is worn and discoloured.
- Engine bay is never photographed in the 16 viewed — the engine can't be judged at all.
- Underside is never photographed; the lift and suspension are only glimpsed from the side, so frame and floors can't be judged.
Money: at $28,900, sort the GMC-versus-Chevrolet identity on paper first, then get bay and underside photos — the glossy red paint is doing all the selling here.
