About this car
1983 Ford Mustang LX at GR Auto Gallery in Traverse City, MI, $12,900. Red over Black, 46,911 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- Body and paint: the red finish looks glossy, straight and even in the showroom set, shown top up and top down, on wire-style wheel covers with whitewalls.
- Top: the white top is photographed raised and taut with a clear rear window, and the boot is shown fitted with the top down.
- Interior: the white leather seats and door cards are photographed in depth and look exceptionally clean, with red carpets and dash presenting fresh and complete.
- Documentation: the door-jamb certification label is photographed (too small to read here), so the build spec can be verified against the car in person.
- Engine bay: not photographed in the 16 viewed, so the engine — V6 or V8 — can't be confirmed from this set.
- Underside: not photographed in the 16 viewed either.
Money: at $12,900 this '83 convertible photographs like a pampered survivor — fair Fox money if the unseen bay is as tidy and the engine is the V8; the VIN settles that in one look.
