About this car
1985 Chevrolet El Camino at GR Auto Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI, $15,900. Light Bronze Metallic over Tan, 91,362 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- This is the same tan El Camino GR Auto Gallery also lists on eBay at the same $15,900 — same car, same photos; one price should buy it on either listing.
- Body and paint: tidy and glossy from across the showroom, but the seller's ruler close-ups document the truth up close — a large patch of paint peeling to bare metal and primer along a window/door edge, heavy stone-chip peppering across the nose, chipped bed rails and small scuffs at both wheel arches.
- Bed: the floor is covered by a ribbed rubber mat, so the bed metal itself can't be judged.
- Chrome and trim: bumpers, grille and wheel-arch trim photograph bright; the wheels are black steel-style with trim rings and BFGoodrich Radial T/As.
- Interior: not photographed in the 16 viewed — only glimpsed through the glass — so its condition can't be judged from this set.
- Engine bay and underside: neither is photographed in the 16 viewed.
Money: at $15,900 the wide shots flatter it — the documented peeling patch and chip damage mean paint money on top, so price it as a driver that needs paintwork, not a finished truck.
