About this car
1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible listed on eBay in Torrance, California. Listing shows Automatic transmission, White exterior. Current bid $31,875 on eBay.
What the photos show
- White paint is glossy and the red interior is photographed in depth and looks fresh; the speedometer reads 37,610.
- Engine bay is never photographed, so which Y-block is fitted — 292, 312 or the dual-quad E-code — can't be judged, and that spread is most of a '57 Bird's value.
- The soft top is down in every frame and never shown raised; no hardtop appears in the photos.
- Underside is never photographed.
Money: at $31,875 the cabin and paint argue well — the engine code, the top and the frame are unphotographed, and they carry the price.
