About this car
1965 Oldsmobile 88 Convertible listed on eBay in Benson, North Carolina. Listing shows 72,174 miles, Automatic transmission. Asking price $24,500 on eBay.
What the photos show
- The listing carries a single photo: an outdoor front three-quarter of a red 1965 Oldsmobile 88 convertible with the top down.
- In that one frame the red paint looks glossy, the grille and front bumper chrome are bright, and the panels line up straight; it sits on wire wheel covers with whitewall tyres.
- Interior shows only at a distance over the folded top — seat condition, dash and trim can't be judged.
- Engine bay can't be judged — there is no photo of it.
- Underside, rear of the car and the soft top itself (never shown up) can't be judged — no photos of them.
Money: at $24,500 a single flattering photo is not a basis to price a big '65 Oldsmobile convertible — get a full gallery, especially the underside and the top up, before valuing it.
