What the photos show
- Gold paint with a black vinyl roof photographs glossy and straight, with close-ups of the flanks and badges showing clean, chip-free paint at this distance.
- Chrome bumpers and trim are bright; the vinyl roof looks taut and unmarked in the photos.
- Black interior looks freshly retrimmed — seats, door cards and rear bench all photograph crisp and unworn; a 4-speed shifter with a white knob and an aftermarket wheel and column tach are the visible changes from stock.
- Only one engine photo, the final frame: a chrome-dressed Pontiac V8 in a tidy bay — one photo can't judge leaks, numbers or how it runs.
- Underside doesn't appear in the 16 viewed — no lift photo, so floors and subframe are unseen.
- The lead photo carries seller text claiming a real 400 4-speed with PHS papers — that's seller copy burned into the image; the photos show the badges and the shifter, and the paperwork claim is for the documents, not the pictures.
Money: at $53,000 the cosmetics photograph like a done car; the premium over a plain Firebird rests on the 400/4-speed pedigree, so the PHS paperwork — not the photos — is what you're really paying for. Verify it.
