Introduced in 1962, the Pontiac Grand Prix quickly established itself as a performance-oriented luxury coupe, blending full-size comfort with unmistakable Pontiac muscle. By 1967, the Grand Prix had evolved into one of the most refined personal luxury cars of the era, and for that model year Pontiac offered a convertible body style for one year only, making the 1967 Grand Prix convertible a true standalone chapter in the model's history and among the most sought-after examples today. This extraordinary Grand Prix was built and delivered new in July 1967 as a very late-production, special equipment factory order, a distinction that immediately sets it apart. |

About this car
1967 Pontiac Grand Prix Convertible listed on eBay in Saint Louis, Missouri. Listing shows 57,640 miles, Automatic transmission, Cameo Ivory exterior. Asking price $84,900 on eBay.
What the photos show
- All 16 photos are exterior: a white '67 Grand Prix convertible at the St. Louis Car Museum — the paint is glossy and even, the body looks straight, and the hidden-headlight nose and grille chrome are crisp in close-up.
- The correct eight-lug PMD wheels with redline tyres get their own close-ups and look excellent.
- The white top is shown raised in one frame and looks clean; the parchment interior is only seen from above with the top down, so its condition can't be judged in detail.
- Red '428' fender badges are photographed, but the engine bay is never opened in the sample — the big engine the badges advertise can't be verified.
- Underside and trunk are never photographed in the 16 viewed.
- One lower-body close-up shows fine scratches in the paint above the rocker trim — minor, and visible only up close.
Money: at $84,900 the outside photographs beautifully, but a 428 Grand Prix convertible is bought on its engine and floors — neither is shown, so the price waits on a bay photo and a lift.

Extremely rare, it's one of just 232 four-speeds produced out of 210,050 Grand Prixs built in 1979! It had just one owner until 2022 and only two owners total. The original owner was a Pontiac collector who clearly knew how special this car was. It's exceptionally well documented, including the original factory window sticker still attached to the glass, two build sheets, original glovebox manuals, correspondence from the original owner and Pontiac, and more.
