About this car
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Convertible listed on eBay in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. Listing shows 999 miles, Automatic transmission, Wineberry Metallic exterior. Asking price $149,900 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Deep burgundy candy paint with ghost flames is glossy and dramatic, panels are straight, and the chrome and polished wheels are spotless — a show finish at normal viewing distance.
- The seller's own close-ups are honest: they show a fine scratch in the paint near one panel gap and small chips and specks along a door edge — minor, but on candy paint any touch-up is a specialist job.
- Black canvas top looks new and taut, rear window clear, with paperwork still taped inside it in the shots.
- Engine bay is fully smoothed and painted body colour around a chromed, polished engine — show-finished and spotless.
- Interior is only glimpsed — brown seats in one side shot — so the cabin can't be judged from this sample; there is no underside photo either.
Money: the presentation supports the $149,900 ask, but price in the candy-paint flaws the seller photographed — they're small, yet they won't touch up invisibly.
