Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the classic and muscle car business. O.K. Mopar lovers, here's a chunk of juicy red meat for your Pentastar dining pleasure. Check out this wicked 1970 Dodge Charger 500, a model many enthusiasts are unaware of. For the 1968 model year, Dodge's restyled the Charger with its recessed grille and inset rear window that absolutely slayed on the showroom floor but which was uncompetitive in NASCAR. For 1969 Dodge released the Charger 500, a homologation special with a flush grille and backlight specifically designed for NASCAR. For 1970, however, the 500 was a trim level that featured some sporty options without having to order the top-level R/T package. |

About this car
1970 Dodge Charger listed on eBay in Fredericksburg, Texas. Listing shows 13,920 miles, Manual transmission, Red exterior. Asking price $99,500 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Red paint is glossy in the outdoor set, panels straight, chrome grille surround and bumpers bright, and the black vinyl roof looks clean and tight.
- Interior is photographed in depth: black seats with cloth inserts, tidy dash and door cards, a pistol-grip 4-speed shifter and a clean, taut headliner — all looking fresh.
- The trunk takes five of the final frames: correct-style mat, spare wheel, jack and body-colour inner panels, all tidy.
- Engine bay can't be judged — no engine photo appears in the 16 viewed, so the '440' lettering on the hood is a decal, not evidence; what is actually under the hood is unseen.
- Underside can't be judged — no underside photo in the 16 viewed.
Money: at $99,500 the body, cabin and trunk photograph to a high standard, but a Charger at this money is priced on its drivetrain — with the bay never photographed, verify the engine and its numbers in person before paying.
