What the photos show
- Body and paint: the silver finish looks smooth and glossy with a blacked-out grille and modern black wheels โ but the green engine bay and green interior give the repaint away: this car left the factory green.
- Interior: the green vinyl benches and door cards look exceptionally clean and original, with a modern stereo fitted in the dash.
- Engine bay: the slant six is photographed in detail โ painted blue, tidy and complete with a red mesh air filter and an Accel coil; the bay's green paint is original.
- Documentation: the final frames photograph the car's original paperwork โ window-sticker fragment, the selling dealer's 1972 bill of sale and the owner's manual โ a history file most Valiants lost decades ago.
- Trunk: clean painted metal with the spare in its well and only light surface marks.
- Underside: never photographed, so the floors can't be judged from this set.
Money: at $10,000 a four-door Valiant is priced on condition and story, not scarcity โ the tidy presentation plus photographed original paperwork supports the ask for a slant-six fan.

High Octane Classics is proud to offer this 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 finished in its original color combination of True Blue Poly (B5) over a black vinyl interior. Under the hood is the numbers matching 340ci V8 paired to the original four-speed manual transmission and rear end. This Duster is highly documented example with its original build sheet and all service records included all the way back to 1971! The car has been faithfully restored to its original specification with one repaint in 1985 and all original sheet metal. During the repaint the extra blackout treatment was added to the hood as well as the swapping of the seat inserts to a blue fabric. With only one owner, numbers matching driveline, and all documentation, this truly is one of the best examples of a 1971 Duster 340!-Cal
