Found preserved in a climate-controlled garage in South Miami, this SS has been meticulously cared for its entire life. The previous owner purchased it at only 699 miles and sparingly drove it around his neighborhood solely to keep the mechanical components in proper working condition. The car presents exactly as you'd expect from such a well-preserved example -- immaculate throughout, with even the original tires free of flat spots or dry rot.Under the hood lies Chevrolet's 5.0L High Output (305 CID) V8 engine, rated at 180 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque, paired |

About this car
1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS listed on eBay in Miami, Florida. Listing shows 1,140 miles, Automatic transmission, Black exterior. Asking price $55,100 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Black '87 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe on the seller's turntable — mirror-gloss black paint with red stripes, the sloped Aerocoupe rear glass, and fresh Goodyear Eagle GT tyres on the factory alloys.
- The maroon cloth interior presents as new-old-stock fresh — seats, door cards and dash all crisp, with the original window sticker displayed in the side glass (too small to read in the photo).
- The engine bay appears only in the final frame: a stock, original-looking 305 HO bay with factory intake plumbing and decals — consistent with a preserved car rather than a restored one.
- The underside is never photographed in the 16 viewed, so the frame and floors can't be judged, and no legible odometer photo is in the sample.
Money: at $55,100 an Aerocoupe's price is its mileage and originality — the photos show a preserved-looking car, but the miles rest on the window sticker and paperwork, not on anything legible here.

Chevrolet introduced the Monte Carlo SS in 1983, reviving the SS nameplate on the G-body platform at a time when performance cars were just beginning to recover from the emissions and fuel crisis era. The SS package gave buyers a factory-built sport coupe with a V8 engine, aero body pieces, and sport-tuned suspension, all wrapped in a two-door fastback profile that stood apart from everything else on the road at the time.
