About this car
1965 Pontiac Bonneville at Vanguard Motor Sales in Keel St. Plymouth, MI, $159,900. Black over - Black Vinyl Interior - Bucket Front, 91,206 miles, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Black paint is deep and glossy over the Bonneville's long panels, with acres of bright chrome and stainless side trim; the eight-lug wheels with thin whitewalls keep the correct '65 Pontiac look.
- Engine bay appears once: a big Pontiac V8 whose air cleaner carries the 421 HO decal, tidily detailed in a gloss-black bay.
- The black soft top is photographed up from behind and looks taut with a clear rear window; it's down in the beauty shots, where the boot sits flush.
- Interior is only glimpsed through the windscreen and from above — black seats look clean at that distance, but no cabin photo appears in the 16 viewed, so wear can't be judged.
- Underside doesn't appear in the 16 viewed — can't judge the frame or floors.
- One of the 16 frames is a dealer service advert, not a photo of the car.
Money: at $159,900 the outside and bay are show standard, but the cabin is effectively unseen in this sample and the underside is missing — both need eyes on them before a big full-size convertible changes hands at this level.
