About this car
1965 Dodge Coronet 500 at GR Auto Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI, $79,900. B5 Blue over Black, 969 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- Metallic blue paint is deep and glossy across the showroom set, panels look straight, and the black vinyl roof and chrome bumpers present cleanly.
- This is a built drag car in the A990 style: big hood scoop, wide rear rubber on steel wheels, skinnier fronts, and a Fratzog graphic painted on the scoop.
- The cabin is full race spec — welded roll cage with padded door bars, two racing buckets with harnesses, a ratchet shifter and no rear seat; door cards remain stock-style black vinyl and look tidy.
- One seller photo holds a ruler against the nose panel — the seller is measuring something at the grille/hood seam, worth asking about rather than guessing.
- No engine-bay photo appears in the 16 viewed — on a drag build that's the whole story, and it's missing here.
- No underside photo appears in the 16 viewed — can't judge chassis work, tubs or cage tie-ins from below.
Money: at $79,900 you're buying a race build, and the photos prove the shell and cage look the part — the engine, drivetrain spec and timeslips are the value, and none of them are in this photo set.
