About this car
1965 Chevrolet Corvette at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $141,998. None over None, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Blue paint is deep and glossy over straight fibreglass in every studio angle, panel fit looks even, and the chrome is bright.
- Knock-off style wheels and side pipes both present clean; no kerb damage visible at this distance.
- Black leather interior looks fresh — seats, door cards and dash all tidy, wood-rim wheel and a 4-speed shifter; the odometer reads 58,912.
- Judging paperwork and an NCRS ribbon are photographed with the car — the sheets are the evidence, so read them rather than taking the ribbon at face value.
- Engine bay doesn't appear in the 16 viewed — can't judge the engine or its detailing.
- Underside doesn't appear either, and the convertible top is down in every shot — top condition can't be judged.
Money: at $141,998 the body and cabin photograph at show level, but a mid-year Corvette at this money also rides on the engine, frame and judging sheets — all three need eyes on them before paying it.
