About this car
1965 Chevrolet Corvette at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $113,998. Burgundy over White, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Maroon paint is deep and glossy, chrome is bright, and it sits on steel wheels with goldline tyres.
- White interior looks fresh in the frames that show it — seats and door card clean, wood-rim wheel.
- The odometer reads 96,222 in the cluster close-ups.
- Half the sample is the same instrument cluster photographed again and again — filler that crowds out real condition coverage.
- Engine bay never appears in the 16 viewed — can't judge the engine or its detailing.
- Underside doesn't appear in the 16 viewed either — frame and birdcage can't be judged, and those decide a C2's value.
Money: at $113,998 the paint and cabin photograph well, but the gallery spends its frames on gauges instead of the engine bay and frame — both still need an in-person inspection.
