About this car
1966 Chevrolet Corvette at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $145,998. Red over Black, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Red paint is mirror-glossy on every panel, the close-up at the door mirror shows clean, unmarked finish, and the side pipes and knock-off wheels with goldline tyres are spotless.
- Black leather interior looks fresh and correct: seats hold their shape, gauge faces are crisp, and the odometer reads 49,29x in the close-ups.
- Much of this sample is dash detail — clock, radio and switchgear all look clean — rather than the mechanical areas.
- The top is only shown folded, so its fabric can't be judged; there is no engine-bay photo in the 16 viewed and no underside — the bay and frame are the key C2 checks and both are missing here.
Money: body and cabin support the $145,998 ask; the engine bay, frame and soft top need an in-person look before paying it.
