What the photos show
- Light green metallic paint is glossy and the big convertible sits straight; the black top is shown up and down and looks taut with a clear rear window, chrome is bright and the five-spoke wheels are clean.
- The seller's ruler close-ups tell the real story: paint is chipping and peeling along the door edges down to primer, there are small touched-in chips on the fenders, a rust spot breaking through at one lower door corner, and rust speckling along the lower valance by the arch trim.
- Individually each mark is small; together they say the paint is old and the edges are starting to go — the classic big-Ford pattern that continues into sills and quarters you can't see here.
- Interior is only glimpsed from above with the top down — tan seats look presentable at that distance, but no cabin photo appears in the 16 viewed.
- Engine bay can't be judged — it doesn't appear in the 16 viewed.
- Underside can't be judged — it doesn't appear in the 16 viewed, and on a '68 Galaxie the frame rails behind the front wheels are the known rot spot.
Money: at $19,900 the shine carries it at a distance, but the disclosed edge rust means a body budget is coming — price it as a driver with paint and rust work queued, and get frame photos before paying.
