About this car
1970 Chevrolet Corvette at Fast Lane Classic Cars in Little Hills Ind Blvd Saint Charles, MO, $39,995. Yellow over Interior Color Black Seat Material Vinyl, 77,927 miles, 3 Speed Automatic
What the photos show
- Daytona Yellow paint is glossy and the chrome-bumper body looks straight; it sits on Rally wheels with raised-white-letter tyres, and the T-tops are shown removed.
- Black leather interior is photographed in depth and looks tidy; an aftermarket Kenwood stereo is fitted in the dash and it is an automatic car.
- The final frames show a small rust-coloured patch at the door-jamb latch — a spot worth probing, because on a C3 the frame and birdcage are the whole ballgame.
- Engine bay is photographed: an orange small-block with a '350' air-cleaner decal, stock-dressed and tidy.
- Underside and frame are never photographed, so the C3's known rust areas can't be judged at all.
Money: at $39,995 this is fair money for a tidy chrome-bumper small-block car only if the frame and birdcage are clean — the photos can't prove that, so the lift inspection decides.
