About this car
1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo at Volo Auto Museum Sales in Volo Village Rd. Volo, IL, $97,998. Blue over White, 4 Speed Manual
What the photos show
- Turquoise paint is glossy and even across the studio set, panels straight, chrome bumpers bright, with SS badging and correct-style wheels and raised-letter tyres.
- Interior is white vinyl, photographed in depth front and rear and looking fresh: buckets, console with a white-knob 4-speed, and full factory-style gauges.
- The speedometer close-up shows an odometer reading of just 585 — a reset or fresh cluster figure, so it says nothing about the car's true mileage without paperwork.
- Two frames are duplicated in the sample (the heater controls and one rear view each appear twice) — filler rather than extra coverage.
- Engine bay can't be judged — no engine photo appears in the 16 viewed, and no VIN plate is photographed, so the SS identity can't be checked from the photos.
- Underside can't be judged — no underside photo in the 16 viewed.
Money: at $97,998 SS454 money, the paint and cabin photograph beautifully, but the drivetrain is never shown and the odometer's 585 needs explaining — the bay, the VIN and the paperwork decide this one in person.
