About this car
1976 Lincoln Continental Town Car at GR Auto Gallery in Grand Rapids, MI, $13,900. Light Blue over Blue, 73,962 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- Body and paint: the pale blue finish looks glossy, straight and even over those huge panels, with the grey vinyl roof tidy; the only documented flaws are rust freckles low behind one front wheel and a few small chips, each measured with the seller's ruler.
- Chrome and trim: the massive bumpers, grille and lamp surrounds photograph bright and undamaged, and the hidden headlamps are photographed raised with clear lenses.
- Wheels: turbine-style covers with narrow whitewalls, all presenting clean.
- Interior: never photographed in the 16 viewed — the cabin shows only through the glass — so its condition can't be judged from this set.
- Engine bay: not photographed in the 16 viewed, so the 460's condition can't be judged from this set.
- Underside: not photographed in the 16 viewed either.
Money: at $13,900 the exterior photographs like one of the better malaise Lincolns — the price is fair if the unseen interior and bay match, and those lower-fender freckles are the spot to probe first.
