About this car
1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am at GR Auto Gallery in Commerce Township, MI, $32,900. Gold Metallic over Camel, 71,166 miles, Automatic
What the photos show
- Gold paint is glossy and the tan interior looks honest and tidy; the hood carries no bird decal.
- Several of the seller's ruler close-ups document hairline cracks and fine scratches in the flexible nose and spoiler paint, plus a small chip — typical urethane ageing, honestly shown.
- Engine bay is never photographed, so whether this is the 301, the turbo 301 or the 305 car can't be judged — a wide spread on a 1980 Trans Am, settled by the VIN and a look under the hood.
- Underside is never photographed.
Money: at $32,900 the engine identity is the price — a turbo car supports it, a base 301 struggles to, and the photos never show the engine.
