1991 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

• Red '91 Corvette at Unique Classic Cars; all 16 viewed frames are this car — no foreign frames in the sample.
• The ZR-1 evidence in the photos is strong but circumstantial: ZR-1 badge on the wide rear bodywork, the 8,000rpm tach, a 6-speed manual and the glass roof panel — a genuine ZR-1 is proven by the VIN, which is not photographed.
• Paint is bright red and glossy, panels smooth, sawblade wheels clean; the car presents very well outside.
• Grey leather interior is tidy overall, though the driver's seat leather is creased and worn on the bolsters and cushion, as C4 sport seats usually are.
• The digital dash photo shows an odometer reading of 47,513.
• The engine bay is NEVER photographed — on a ZR-1 the LT5 is the entire value of the car, and there is not one photo of it; underside is never photographed either.

Money: at $26,900 — base-C4 money — either the LT5 and VIN check out and it's cheap for a ZR-1, or it isn't one; do not pay a cent until you've seen the engine and decoded the VIN.
