The '64 model received a single-pane back window - eliminating the polarizing split window of 1963 - while losing the simulated air intakes on its hood and gaining a genuinely functional air intake on the left rear pillar. Chevrolet took significant strides to improve the comfort of the Sting Ray's ride without diminishing its performance credentials, adding progressive-rate springs and completely redesigned shocks. |

About this car
1964 Chevrolet Corvette listed on eBay in Vero Beach, Florida. Listing shows Manual transmission, Red exterior. Asking price $155,000 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Red paint is glossy and even in every shot, and close-ups of the nose and deck show clean fibreglass with no stress cracks or chips visible; chrome bumpers shine and the knock-off wheels and whitewalls are spotless.
- The car is shown top-down and with the colour-matched hardtop fitted; the soft top itself is never shown raised, so its fabric and rear window can't be judged from these photos.
- Black interior looks clean and correct: seats hold their shape, dash and console are bright, and the odometer reads 61,949; only light dust and scuffing low on the driver's door card.
- The final frames photograph the trim tag and VIN plate — useful documentation, but they say nothing about condition.
- No engine-bay photo in the 16 viewed and no underside — can't judge the bay or the frame, the two checks that matter most on a C2.
Money: the body and cabin photos support the $155,000 ask; the engine bay, frame and soft top are unphotographed in this sample and are the must-see items before paying it.
