About this car
1965 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible listed on eBay in Round Lake, Illinois. Listing shows Manual transmission, Blue exterior. Asking price $141,998 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Blue paint is deep and glossy over straight fibreglass from every angle, chrome bright, panel fit even.
- Knock-off style wheels and side pipes present clean, no kerbing visible at this distance.
- The black soft top is shown raised in the final frames and looks fresh and tight with a clear rear window — a plus, since many listings never show the top up.
- Interior shows in details rather than a full cabin shot: 4-speed shifter, gauges and door card all look tidy; seat wear can't be judged closely from these frames.
- Two framed documentation boards are photographed with the car — the boards are the seller's presentation, so verify the certificates and judging sheets in person.
- Engine bay doesn't appear in the 16 viewed, and there's no underside photo — both can't be judged.
- Two of the 16 frames are dealer advert cards, not photos of the car.
Money: at $141,998 the body, chrome and top photograph at show level, but the engine and frame are never shown — at mid-year Corvette money those two, plus the paperwork behind the boards, decide whether the ask is right.
