What the photos show
- Yellow '66 Coronet convertible at Gateway Houston; all 16 viewed photos are exterior — top shown up and down, doors open once, but never a cabin, engine or underside frame.
- Paint looks glossy and the body straight at this distance, chrome bumpers decent, black soft top presentable with a clear rear window.
- Badging is mixed: the fenders carry Coronet 440 script (a trim level, not an engine) while the grille wears an R/T badge — the R/T wasn't offered on the '66 Coronet, so treat the badge as decoration; the VIN decides what the car is.
- Interior is never photographed — seats, dash and top well can't be judged at all.
- Engine bay is never photographed — the actual engine (six, 318, 361, 383 or 440) is completely unverified.
- Underside is never photographed — the unibody's rails and floors can't be judged.
Money: at $26,000 you're bidding on a yellow exterior and an incorrect badge; a '66 Coronet convertible's value swings hugely on its born engine and floors — decode the VIN and see it on a lift first.
