Shifting through the gears while listening to the roar of that 427 bellowing through the side pipes is enough to put a smile on anyone's face. Just as impressive is the meticulous body off frame restoration. The fit, finish, and attention to detail are exceptional, making this a Corvette you'll be just as proud to admire in the garage as you are to drive on the open road. |

1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible listed on eBay in Round Lake, Illinois. Listing shows Manual transmission, Rally Red exterior. Asking price $145,998 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Red paint is mirror-glossy on every panel; side pipes and knock-off wheels with goldline tyres are spotless — no paint or body budget from these photos.
- Black soft top is shown raised, from inside, and folded away under the decklid: the fabric looks clean and dark with a tidy headliner, though the rear window never gets a clear close view.
- Black leather interior looks fresh and correct; gauge faces are crisp in the close-ups and the odometer reads 49,29x.
- Three of the 16 frames are dealer advert cards, and there is no engine-bay photo in this sample and no underside view.
Money: body, top and cabin support the $145,998 ask; the engine bay and frame are unphotographed in this sample and are the checks that matter on a C2.
