About this car
1968 Dodge Dart listed on eBay in Rincon, Georgia. Listing shows 40,000 miles, Automatic transmission, Gray exterior. Asking price $4,500 on eBay.
What the photos show
- The whole car is in flat grey primer and the panels photograph straight, but the seller's own close-ups show rust eating the rear window channel under a perished seal, plus blistering rust spots along one panel edge.
- The bare trunk floor is photographed: surface rust and staining, but no holes visible at this distance, and the jack is still in place.
- Dark blue-and-black bench interior looks genuinely good — seats unripped, dash pad sound — and the odometer reads 40,639.
- Engine bay holds a slant-six, complete, with a freshly painted red rocker cover; the fender tag is photographed (LL21, base Dart sedan) along with the original owner's handbook, warranty booklet and registration papers.
- The underside is never photographed, so the floors can't be judged from the photos.
Money: at $4,500 the primer is the question — what's hiding at the window channels and under the coat decides it; fairly priced for a slant-six project if the floors check out in person.
