1970 Plymouth Duster

• Start with the damage, because the seller's photos lead with it: the front end is wrecked — the black scoop hood is crumpled, the left front fender is torn open with filler and primer patches exposed, the grille and header panel are destroyed and one headlight is gone. This is a crashed race car being sold as it sits.
• Behind the damage, the build is serious: purple paint is glossy on the intact panels, there's a full roll cage, racing seats and harnesses, a dash full of aftermarket gauges and a ratchet shifter.
• Trunk is all business — fuel cell, twin pumps, battery and alloy tubs; the bay wears a big race carb and alloy radiator in a purple-painted shell. Nothing here is street trim.
• The factory door tag is photographed (built 12-1969) — worth decoding in person, since a genuine 340 shell is worth more than a converted one, crashed or not.
• Underside can't be judged — it doesn't appear in the 16 viewed, and on a crashed car the front subframe and rails are the first thing to check for twist.

Money: at $19,600 you're buying a bent but well-built bracket car — the value case is the cage, driveline and (if it decodes) the 340 shell, minus a front clip, panel work and a frame check; price it as a project, not a racer.
