Vehicle Original VIN : 0A35M102583 Motor Trends "Car Of The Year" in 1970, the Ford Torino really stood out and became an instant hit as it was dubbed the "New" Torino. Ford started building the intermediate car in 1968 and initially was a more boxy car and by 1970 had moved in to a more "Coke Bottle" style with a longer hood and rounder body lines. Most of these cars were just cars to the average consumer used for commuting and most of them were the 4-door variants. There were a few that got out with a big block but not many. |

About this car
1970 Ford Torino listed on eBay in Traverse City, Michigan. Listing shows 99,900 miles, Manual transmission, Red exterior. Asking price $58,180 on eBay.
What the photos show
- Red '70 Torino GT fastback — glossy paint, straight panels, bright chrome and Magnum-style wheels in the seller's warehouse walk-around; rear-window louvres and the GT grille badge are fitted.
- The interior is the car's talking point: orange-and-red plaid cloth with maroon vinyl, photographed in depth — but the seller's own rear-seat close-up shows the cloth worn through in patches, so the trim is original and tired in places, not restored.
- The door data sticker and dash VIN plate are both photographed, though neither is legible at photo resolution — decoding them is a paperwork job, not a photo job.
- The engine bay is never photographed in the 16 viewed — at this money there is no photo of the engine the price is based on.
- The underside is never photographed either, so the floors and torque boxes of this unibody Ford can't be judged at all.
Money: at $58,180 the outside and the plaid cabin carry the car, but with no engine-bay or underside photo in the set, get both before paying GT money.

Legendary American Muscle- The 1969 Ford Torino Talladega is a legendary American muscle car that was specifically designed for NASCAR racing. Named after the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama, this limited-production vehicle was built on the Torino Cobra Sportroof chassis. An aerodynamic body, a 6" longer nose, flush-mounted grille and redesigned rocker panels helped improve the overall performance of the Torino Talladega in competition. To fulfill NASCAR's racing requirement for street-legal production, Ford needed to deliver a limited number of Torino Talladega models for sale to the public.
