About this car
1971 Plymouth Duster listed on eBay in Bakersfield, California. Listing shows 100 miles, Blue exterior. Asking price $7,999 on eBay.
What the photos show
- A full project, photographed honestly: the bright blue shell sits on steel wheels with the engine bay empty and black-painted, and the interior is stripped to bare metal.
- Floors: the pans are photographed from inside — surface rust across them and one holed patch at a seat mount, so floor work is part of the build, not a surprise.
- The engine is out and photographed on a stand — an orange small-block with its stamp pad shown in close-up — alongside the seats, a loose gauge cluster, a differential centre and carb parts laid out on the driveway; what is and isn't included needs a written list from the seller.
- Body and paint: the blue looks presentable and mostly straight at driveway distance; door cards remain fitted and tidy.
- Underside: never photographed as such, beyond the interior floor shots.
Money: at $7,999 a stripped Duster shell plus a photographed 340 on a stand is priced as a project — the value is the sum of the parts actually included, so the parts list matters more than the paint.
