What the photos show
- A ten-photo project file: faded gold paint, a vinyl roof shredded and peeling off the top, and the bonnet sitting ajar on its hinges in the driveway shots.
- Documentation: the fender tag is photographed and legible — LH23 Swinger hardtop with E44, the 318 V8 — so the car's factory spec is verifiable from the photos themselves.
- Engine bay: the 318 sits complete under heavy dust in a dirty bay, and one shot shows a battery charger hooked up — a car being coaxed back, not a runner being used.
- Trunk: photographed with its mat lifted aside — the floor reads solid at this distance, with surface marks only.
- Interior: never photographed in the ten frames, so the cabin's state can't be judged at all; the four factory wheel covers are photographed separately on the gravel.
- Underside: never photographed either.
Money: at $9,000 a documented 318 Swinger project is priced on its shell — the tag proves what it is, and the unseen interior and floors decide what it's worth.
