About this car
1978 Chevrolet Corvette Limited listed on eBay in Biloxi, Mississippi. Listing shows 50 miles, Automatic transmission, Two tone black and silver with red pinstriping exterior. Current bid $27,662.5 on eBay.
What the photos show
- '78 Corvette in full Indianapolis Pace Car dress on the Gulf Coast Exotic turntable; all 16 viewed photos are exterior rotations and close-ups of the wheels and decals.
- Black-over-silver paint and the 'Official Pace Car' door lettering look crisp and glossy, and the polished alloy wheels with red pinstripes are photographed in close-up and look clean.
- Decals and badges are not proof: a genuine '78 Pace Car is decided by the VIN sequence, and no VIN, trim tag or paperwork is photographed here.
- Interior is never photographed — the silver pace-car cabin can't be judged at all.
- Engine bay is never photographed — L48 vs L82 can't be judged.
- Underside is never photographed — frame and birdcage can't be judged.
Money: at $27,662.50 you're bidding on turntable gloss and decals; a pace car's premium lives in its VIN, engine and frame, none of which appear in these photos — verify all three before paying pace-car money.
